I grew up in Falls Church, Virginia, and am now located in Fredericksburg. I earned my bachelor's degree in political science from American Military University. While completing my degree I substitute taught K-12 classes and found that I am most skilled and effective at teaching English and history. I enjoy doing volunteer work to offer something back to society. In my free time you might find me reading, attending yoga or Zumba classes, geocaching with my family, learning about essential oils, or following Washington, D.C. area sports teams.I have found my role as a tutor through challenges in my own education. I know that it is difficult to learn material if you find it too difficult or boring, so I see it as my job to bring my enthusiasm for the subject to the table. I work to make the learning process engaging and fun so that it is easy for my students to accomplish their goals. I am available to tutor English and social sciences subjects including essay editing, phonics, grammar and mechanics, American history, AP comparative government and politics, and AP United States history.
