As a recent Princeton graduate, I have a unique and insightful grasp of the current college application process and am in a prime position to share my expertise with prospective college applicants. In fact, I scored in the 99th percentile on the SAT, earned a score of "5" on ten different AP exams, and was accepted to twenty-two the nation's top universities when I applied! I've been able to use this experience and success to develop a system that can help others maximize their chances of getting into the colleges of their dreams! My four primary areas of expertise are: 1. SAT/ACT Prep 2. AP Test Prep 3.College Admissions Counseling 4. Essay Editing I believe in a personalized approach to standardized test preparation (AP and SAT/ACT), with coursework tailored to the unique strengths and weaknesses of each student. All standardized test prep students receive customized instruction, with full-length practice exams administered throughout our time together to monitor improvement. I can also provide a personalized and comprehensive approach to help students navigate the college application process. From prudently selecting colleges, to thoughtfully composing the personal essay, to confidently acing the interview, I am committed to helping my students present the best and strongest impressions of themselves to college admissions offices. Finally, I am a firm believer in accountability. For that reason, I often ask for feedback and will never bill for a lesson in which the student or parent is not 100% satisfied with my performance. I do the majority of my tutoring in downtown Fredericksburg, but am also happy to travel to a nearby location if it is more convenient for the student. A little bit more about me: I graduated from Princeton University in 2012 with a degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology and a minor in Environmental Studies. Since then, I have dedicated my time to helping students prepare for college entrance examinations and Advanced Placement tests. I have even helped some students raise their SAT scores by 300 points! Additionally, I recently started a farm in Caroline County where I grow local hops for Virginia's burgeoning craft beer industry. In my free time, I am an avid tennis player and fan of the Baltimore Ravens!
