I am a tutor who is experienced and loves to help students with their writing skills. Although writing is my favorite subject to tutor in, I'm also available to assist students with literature, reading, and English. I can work with students to prepare them for the SAT and help them with their college essays. I earned my degree from Virginia Tech in Journalism and English. I have plans to pursue my master's in Creative Writing. During my undergraduate studies I tutored students living in impoverished communities through the Virginia Tech Literacy Corps. As a teacher I believe that all of my students have the potential to be successful, and it's my job to work with them to discover this potential. All people are curious and want to learn, and I approach my tutoring with this understanding. I also believe that learning should be fun, engaging, and enjoyable. When I'm not tutoring I like to sing - I am actually working on an album right now with a record label - and write short fiction stories and poetry. I'm also an avid reader.
